André Spicer is Professor of Organisational Behaviour at Cass Business School, City University of London. He has also held visiting professorships in over a dozen institutions around the world. He is an award-winning teacher and runs one of the most popular courses at Cass. His research on management and organisations has won a number of highly prestigious awards. He is author of eight books including The Wellness Syndrome, The Stupidity Paradox and Business Bullshit.
He has worked with organisations including Barclays, Jaguar Land Rover, Ford, IBM, BBC, Transport for London, the City of London and the UK Houses of Parliament. He has led a number of high profile investigations into the culture of financial institutions which have informed government policy in the area. He has delivered speeches around the world to audience including TEDx, the House of Lords and Occupy encampment. He frequently appears in the global media to talk about business issues. He also frequently writes for The Guardian, The Telegraph, and CNN.
This year, he will release a book entitled Desperately Seeking Self Improvement. It describes a year on intense and often dangerous experiments with self-improvement.
